CAUGHT ON GRASSHRIMP!!!!!

Bob Kerins of Maysl Landing was catching white perch today. In the mix was what he thought something quite unusual for the area, a Gizard Shad. It weighed 2 lbs 2 oz and was nearly 20 in long. The fish was caught on the Egg Harbor River.

 A big 2 lb 4 0z white perch was caught today off the lower bank bridge. He reported more white perch in the 1 lb range.

Plenty of White Perch to go around. Bluefish are starting to be caught further up river according to local fishermen. The Atlantic Herring is a good bait to use for bluefish as well as striped bass fishing. The white perch are taking bloodworms and grasshrimp, both baits in stock.

Bill struck again this morning weighing in a 19 lb 4 oz Striped Bass. It was 36 in long and about a 20 in girth. What a way to start off the day. Plenty of bloodworms in stock to go along with the new product ( Atlantic Herring). Fresh clam just arrived as well. Have a nice catch…..
