A very busy day yesterday….. Sorry i couldnt get on facebook and share some info throughtout the day. Plenty of people fishing in todays contest. I got a couple of really good weigh ins of white perch. Jeff Reese and his son Hunter caught… three slammers all in the 1lb range and one which weighed 1 lb 15 oz. What a fish!! Bluefish are starting to come alive as well as striped bass and even drumfish. Mackeral for the bluefish and Fresh Clam for the drumfish and striped bass are taking bloodworms and fresh clam. We have all the baits you need to feed these monster fish.

The fishing scoop has been bluefish appearing in the back bays and inlets. Fresh bunker and mackeral on the way for the weekend. The Mullica River still has been producing some perch as well as striped bass. Our contest ends this upcoming Tuesday. Can anyone come in with a 2 lb 3 oz this weekend? Here are some bluefish pics from years past.

What a way to start the morning with Mike Shepherd on the radio. Always a fun time. Busy morning here. Plenty of bloodworms and minnows in stock. Leaving soon to get the shrimp. It should be a good fishing day on the river with very low winds a…nd sunshine through the day. Our contest for the white perch is still going on and if you have any questions on what to use rig or bait, stop on in your friendly neighborhood bait and tackle shop.

Breaking News: While Cap and I were down out the bay getting fresh minnows, we get an amazing call that Tom Mcgeary caught a 45 lb 5 oz Striped Bass in the mullica river. The weigh in took place around 1:30 pm. What a gigantic fish!!!! Great Catch!!!

The Perch and Striped Bass fishing is picking up here in the Mullica River. Last weekend the river was exploding with fish. Over the weekend we had 5 Striped Bass weigh ins and 4 White Perch weigh ins for our 6th Annual White Perch Contest. Please sign up if you haven’t already and go catch some fish. We weigh in fish all season for the Atlantic City Press Competition and we would be thrilled to have your weigh ins here. PHOTOS will be taken of you and your catch. An 8 lb 8 oz Striped Bass 30 inches long caught by Darnell and he is only 13 yrs old. Great Catch!!!!! Plenty of bloodworms in stock!!!
