Lynn Gifford of newtonville caught a 4 lb 4 oz 24 in flounder today on spearing. There were four others that they caught in the 18 in to 20 in range.

There is still some fish to be caught in the Mullica. Perch, catfish and small stripers are still lurking around in areas. Best baits to use for the Mullica are bloodworms, nightcrawlers and minnows this time of year. Some keeper size flounder are being caught. A local fisherman caught 4 keeper size flounder, all around 20 to 22 in range. he was using minnow and berkley gulp shrimp. Some bluefish activity in the back bay areas. Come weigh your fish here and leave with a copy photo in hand.

Jay Sorge, a local fisherman caught a 15lb striped bass this morning. He was using fresh clam while fishing in Ocean City waters.

Plenty of bloodworms, nightcrawlers and minnows  in for the weekend. New bait arrival coming in tomorrow, shedder crabs. Plenty of fresh clam sold by the 1/2, dozen or bushel. Also plenty of frozen clam, squid, mackeral, spearing, bunker and fingermullet.

Firstmate Don of Captain Howard’s caught a 40 lb 38 in Black Drum tuesday evening. Don was fishing in the Delaware Bay using fresh clam.
