Bruce of Egg Harbor City caught a cooler full of perch on bloodworms as well as grasshrimp. He also caught some short striped bass that he released.

What a start to the fishing season. Yesterday’s fishing in the mullica river was a very decent day for some. People were fishing the main spots and catching perch as well as striped bass. Bloodworms and grasshrimp were the bait of choice. A reminder to all that striped bass fishing offically starts March 1st in the rivers.
